What Factors Can Stimulate The Due Date Of A Baby

Few things in your life bring more anticipation and excitement than having a baby. When you have been pregnant for months, closely following each stage of growth and development, you can hardly wait to see your beautiful child. But when you get right down to the last weeks of being pregnant, you patience starts to wane and you want to find out exactly what factors can accelerate the due date of a baby are.

There are a couple of ways that you can go about doing this. If you are having a multiple birth, you will be already expecting to have your babies sooner than the predicted due date. If that is the case, your doctor or midwife will be watching you closer and watching your and the babies progression and growth.

Other factors include whether or not you smoke, drink or do drugs. Prenatal care is essential for a baby to develop into a healthy, bouncing baby boy or girl. Good prenatal care can have a baby ready to come out when it is due. Good prenatal care consists of eating and drinking enough, gaining adequate weight, taking prenatal vitamins, good personal hygiene and some moderate exercise.

The lack of fluids can cause a woman to go into labor early. Preterm labor is when you are 37 weeks and less gestation. Proper fluid intake is crucial to your and your baby's health. The best amount of amniotic fluid to be surrounding the baby is eight hundred to one thousand milliliters of fluid. Dehydration can cause a woman to go into preterm labor, so it is important to drink lots, especially in the summer months, when it is hot.

There are considerations before you try to bring on labor yourself. Your health, physical and mental, the growth and development and size of the baby and how many weeks pregnant you are, are all worthy things to consider before you try to bring on labor. Let your doctor or midwife know and ask their opinion. Putting your unborn baby at risk could be detrimental.

Once you are past 37 weeks, which is considered full term, you can try out some natural and not so natural ways to bring on baby cramps. Ingesting Castor oil is an old stand by, unfortunately the side effects are not so desired. Taking Castor oil can give you lots of false labor, cramps and diarrhea.

Blue and black cohosh and raspberry tea may be recommended by your midwife. These are considered natural methods to induce a pregnant mom. Combine these with walking and you have a recipe for labor. Use with caution though. Even though these are considered natural labor inducing remedies, they should not be over used and need the supervision and guidance of your midwife.

Nipple stimulation and sexual intercourse produce oxytocin, a hormone produced naturally, which brings on labor. Some women are not the least bit interested in sex in the last couple of weeks and others find it pleasurable.

In the last few weeks, days and hours try to enjoy your tiny baby kicks, they will soon be gone and will not return unless you have another little one. Child birth is a miracle. Have your birth plan all set and spend some quality time with you partner. You will both soon be busy and distracted.
