The Dirt On Morning Sickness During Pregnancy

Many pregnant women dread that scary pregnancy morning sickness. The thought of puking your guts out is mortifying. Some experience it only during the morning. Some don't seem to be so lucky and experience it throughout the day. Others are quite lucky and do not experience it at all. Other lucky ones just feel nauseous while not the vomiting.

For expectant mothers, you can expect a lot of changes which would occur because your body is preparing for the baby. One reason for the nausea would be the rising levels of HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin and estrogen. Another reason for the constant feeling of nausea would be the woman's acute sense of smell. Pregnancy makes the woman more sensitive to odors which are also probably brought about by the high levels of estrogen.

Another possible reason would be that some women have sensitive gastro intestinal tracts during pregnancy. This makes them feel queasier. Another possible cause would be a deficiency of Vitamin B. Taking supplements of Vitamin B apparently help alleviate the feeling of morning sickness. This is why many women take multivitamins during the early stages of their pregnancy. This apparently helps them cope through the whole process of morning sickness.

Some women are more prone to experience morning sickness as compared to others. here are some cases of women who are more prone to experience morning sickness. Those carrying twins tend to experience morning sickness because the body produces a larger number of hormones.

Those who experienced morning sickness in their previous pregnancy would most probably experience it again during the second pregnancy. Genes also play a role in morning sickness. If your mother experienced morning sickness, chances are you will too.

Morning sickness is quite a problem, even painful at times. Just take comfort in the fact that it will get better after some time. Always remember to keep yourself hydrate as you are letting out the liquids. If you cannot seem to keep in anything, tell your doctor right away. Once the discomfort passes, try to eat properly so the baby will get the nourishment he or she needs.
