There are several exercises that are safe to do while pregnant that can be done while standing or sitting even though it may sound like you can't do anything.

Another important factor you should consider is that you can lower the risk of developing gestational diabetes if you work out during your pregnancy. Along with a healthy diet, exercise can help to control your blood sugar and prevent you from gaining excessive fat during your pregnancy. Since gestational diabetes increases the risk of the onset of Type 2 diabetes, it is something you should do everything in your power to avoid. Despite the fact that the benefits are plentiful, the fact that exercising during pregnancy reduces the chances of you developing gestational diabetes is good enough reason for you to do it.
