Pregnancy Timeline Experience

I have great news, I am pregnant and so happy about it. I have been pregnant for 12 weeks, so nearly a third of the way along the pregnancy timeline. I want to tell you all about it so that you know what to expect and know you are not alone.

So yes I am pregnant. The news is great but it does take its toll on your body. I found out I was pregnant after my fourth week. As soon as I missed my period slightly I did the tests. The first test came out rather faint but I had a very good idea that I was pregnant.

I went to the doctors quite early on. There is nothing they can really do for you at this stage. They don't test you because they say that it only shows what it does in the test you have already taken anyway. I wasn't sure of the point on the pregnancy timeline that you should go to the doctors. I would advise that you go as soon as you know you are pregnant. They will then set you up with an appointment to see the midwife.

I love my midwife, she is great. She came around to my house and made me feel so comfortable. We spent nearly an hour going through the pregnancy timeline and she explained everything that I needed to do. I know exactly when my scans will be and the things I need to look out for. She also told me what to expect.

After meeting with the midwife I was quite confident with the way I was going to handle it. But I didn't expect the tiredness to hit me the way it did. I am now always tired. I cannot get up in the mornings when my alarm goes and I just hit the couch when I get home.

The other symptoms that I am feeling include sickness (not just the morning), backaches, headaches and 'teariness'. It has been hard work but the further you get down the pregnancy timeline the easy that it becomes.
