Methods To Clear Away Your Spider Veins

When women's legs are attacked by those unsightly varicose veins, those once pleasurable activities can soon turn their legs into tired and aching legs in no time. This will only lead the women to feeling miserable in their own skin. Besides feeling as if their appearance is already disfigured due to these blue bulges on various parts of their legs, now they are feeling the effects that they are causing.

Varicose veins are caused when the blood within the legs do not have proper circulation, which is the result of the weakened valves within the veins. When this occurs the blood will begin to pool in one central area. As a result, the veins will begin to bulge through the skin forming what is known as the large blue veins that we call varicose veins. It is not unusual for a varicose vein to rupture, which will turn into an open sore on the skin.

Oftentimes, due to the extra weight of pregnancy, women seem to develop varicose veins. Some experts feel this is due to the pressure placed on women's veins as the uterus continues to grow during the pregnancy, but nothing has been proven as of yet. However, it has been noted that varicose veins are a hereditary trait.

Women can take preventative measures from getting varicose veins by walking and resting with their feet elevated. Other preventative measures that will help them is by wearing support hose, which will support the veins in their legs.

Anyone with varicose veins knows they will not just disappear all on their own. The majority of women will deal with them being on their legs. Of course, this all depends on how bad they are and where they are on their legs. If the varicose veins are too bad, then some women will opt for a surgical treatment to have them removed, but normally this is only in the most severe cases.

Many individuals are afraid to have to be put asleep to have a surgical procedure done, which is why the varicose vein procedure, known as stripping, is so great. Individuals are not put asleep, but instead only a local anesthesia is used. This procedure has been around since the 1950s and is still a very popular and productive procedure today.

Once you have had the stripping surgery, you will be more than exciting to put on a new pair of shorts or a new dress just to show your legs off once more. Oftentimes, women feel much more healthier as well as happier once they have had the surgery simply because they know that unsightly blemish is no longer there. Also, that tired and achy feeling they were having in their legs will soon disappear as well.
