For someone that got her period on May 1st, this would mean counting backwards from June 1st, which would bring you to May 18th. Someone with a shorter cycle than twenty-eight days should do the same thing.

Most doctors want to see you sometime between six and eight weeks, so make sure you call them and get yourself an appointment if you think you are somewhere around there. Of course, if you are not yet sure that you are pregnant, this date is also helpful to help you plan when you can safely expect that exciting double line on your pregnancy test. For most women, this is around week four, but if you are one of those women with a longer cycle, it is a good idea to wait another week or two. Since it probably will not show up positive any earlier than that, it is not worth the stress (or the expense) of taking test after test in anticipation.
