“I Can’t Get Pregnant, Why?”

Childbearing and childbearing are part of a married life, and this can be fulfilled only if a woman will get pregnant. But if she fails to conceive, the woman may start to ask, "I cant get pregnant why?" And the situation may be frustrating and is difficult to accept. And this may cause considerable distress for couples who wish to have children of their own.

Not getting pregnant, sometimes referred to as infertility, a woman is only considered and believed infertile if she will not be pregnant after a year of unprotected intercourse. And infertility may be a harsh terminology to the couple whose only wish is to have a baby, and so for this reason it should not be used until it is proven that pregnancy is impossible.

However, this problem (not getting pregnant) needs enough time for thorough assessment and investigation by a proper authority or by medical experts to prove that pregnancy is not possible. And in this case, if proven and diagnosed that pregnancy is impossible to occur then it is safe to use the term infertility to the couple. Though it is painful and maybe unacceptable, but it is the reality, the woman may start to stop asking I can't get pregnant why?

-Couples occupation, in case it involves contact with pollutant chemicals or any radioactive material. -Any medical problem experienced that may affect the reproductive organ. For example in men, orchitis (infection of the testis), this is due to mumps during puberty. And in women, for any past surgery in the pelvis or abdominal region. -Particular attention is given to any history of sexually transmitted diseases. -The regularity of the menstruation of the woman. Regular menstruation may suggest that ovulation is possibly occurring. -The couple is given the opportunity to elaborate their concerns because stress may cause hormonal imbalances, and hormones in procreation are significant.

Both partners will be given a full and complete medical examination. In the man, semen analysis will be done, to detect any dysfunction like semen's low count, and low volume. Or to note for any absence of spermatozoa or sperm, and this will be a problem. The doctor will try to examine for any obstruction of the seminal duct which is the passage way of the semen. And also the specialist will try to know if the woman has no defective ovulation, defective transport, and defective implantation. Medical treatment is given first, and if the prognosis is poor, then may be a surgical intervention is recommended.

These women who keep on asking themselves about "I can't get pregnant why", maybe they should start scouting for medical experts to get some answers. The couple is assessed thoroughly and a full history is obtained including occupation. In case it involves contact with pollutants and radioactive materials, it will be noted. Nowadays, there are modern technologies and approaches, so may be this particular case can be resolved.
