How to Deal with Pregnancy Skin Problem

Though it is always happy to have a baby, there are really some problems associated with pregnancy. One of the most common problems is the skin problem. Almost every pregnant woman has some kinds of skin problems like pimples or stretch marks. Find out some safe and mid treatment to make yourself a beautiful mother!

Acne or pimple is the Number 1 problem that pregnant women face. Due to the hormonal change inside your body, your sebaceous glands are more active and therefore secret more sebum. The excess sebum clogs your pore and causes pimple formation especially around the chin and mouth. Change to some oil-free products and makeup. Do not use vitamin A skincare products or take any acne medicines.

Pigmentation is also common for pregnant women. The pigmentation is again caused by your hormonal change. Such pigmentation will finally causes dark spots on your face especially the forehead and cheek. You should protect your skin from sunlight by applying at least SPF 15 sunscreen. If needed, you can further protect your skin by wearing cap when you go outside.

90% of the pregnant women may face the stretch marks problem. Stretch marks are usually formed on your breast or abdomen when the skin is stretched as the breast and abdomen become bigger and bigger. Such reddish streaks can be reduced by messaging with olive and almond oil. It may not be a big concern for you as most of the streaks will fade after your delivery.

During your pregnancy, it is common for you to experience itching on your breast and abdomen. The itching is normally caused by the stretched skin on such body parts. What you can do is to apply some anti-itch cream to reduce the itching. You can also try olive oil or aloe gel as it soothes the skin. If you find the itching is serious and continuous, you may need to consult a doctor. Itching can be a symptom of Cholestasis.

Linea Nigra is a faint line running from the navel to the center of the pubic bone. It usually appears around the fourth to the fifth month of pregnancy. There is no way to prevent the Linea Nigra formation or to reduce. Do not worry as it will fade after the delivery of babies.
