A Guide to Your First Trimester
You should be proud that you are now 12 weeks pregnant. No need to worry now as you are off the hook as far as miscarriage is concerned. This does not, hwoever, mean that you should not have any care as your baby is still growing inside you.
Once you are 12 weeks pregnant though, there are a lot of transformations that you will feel as your baby is also starting to grow at a more rapid rate. One of those things is feeling more tired and stressed than usual. This is because your body eats up the energy to build the placenta so make sure that you allot more time to sleep and rest, you’ll miss it once the baby comes out.
Be ready to experience excessive salivating, flatulence, and a more sensitive than usual smell. In order to keep your salivating to a minimum, chew on a sugar-free gum or make use of a mouthwash as needed. Slowing down on your eating, on the other hand, can minimize production of flatulence. Keep in mind that, when you eat fats, you tend to swallow more air which forms gas pockets; thus, more flatulence. To address your heightened sense of smell, on the other hand, you can indulge in some lemons or other citrus fruits.
During your 12th week of pregnancy, you cna expect to undergo much more changes in your body. It is because, at this point, your baby is undergoing cartilage and lungs formation as well as the start of the function of a number of internal organs. Fetal muscles are also now starting to develop.
With all of these things happening at a dizzyingly fast rate, you should eat regularly during the day once you’re 12 weeks pregnant to avoid the upsetting pregnancy symptoms and sustain the nutrients your child needs for his overall health.
There are uncomfortable during this phase or along this 12 weeks pregnancy but you need for the following week. Might bet tougher but its all rewarding after wards.
